Sales Development Representative

As a key member of the area sales team, you will proactively contribute to the budgeted volume, revenue, market share, and business profit targets. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing new and existing customers in targeted areas.
- Providing a link and support to the internal/external sales functions, the wider commercial team, and the customer services centre.
- Contributing and achieving in our business goal to grow sales, improve quality, reduce complaints, 'get it right first time,' and become our customer's supplier of choice.
You will be responsible for:
- Working with your territory sales managers to maximize sales opportunities through volume, revenue, and product mix.
- Proactively generating new business in your area through prospecting, making use of reports on closed, lapsed, and new accounts, as well as using tools such as Barbour ABI and LinkedIn to identify appropriate call lists.
- Managing area accounts using appropriate sales tools (5-minute planners, CMPs, etc.), making sure that all customer interactions are recorded via Arvensis and/or CRM.
- Ensuring end-to-end account management, including managing queries & complaints for relevant accounts.
- Following up, in a timely manner, all quotes added to the system, ensuring a record of jobs won and lost is kept, and that lost or finished job quotes are archived.
- Alongside TSM, Bid Team, and any other relevant departments, completing administration for any local Government bids or major contracts.
- Working with the cash sales team to ensure that all opportunities are qualified and priced appropriately.
- Being responsible for reports such as GZ and ancillary pricing.
- Supporting your TSM/FSM on work for special projects as required.
- Attending and contributing to area team meetings as required.
You will need:
- A good level of education (GCSEs/A-level/Diploma).
- A working understanding of standard software packages.
