About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to lead our Estates Operations team, responsible for driving improvements in the performance of our unique estate portfolio. The successful candidate will provide effective leadership and management of the team, overseeing property assets and space management, building and engineering maintenance, health and safety, energy and sustainability, and maintenance services, managing a revenue budget of £18m.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on several strategic developments, including the Strategic Asset Management Plan, Decarbonisation Strategy, and Digital Campus.
  • Collaborate with teams across the Estate and Facilities portfolio, members of the wider University leadership and management team, and external partners.
  • Drive improvements in operational efficiency and international reputation of our estate.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.

  • Senior leadership experience in estate management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and engage teams, build effective relationships, and challenge convention.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
