We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy Industry Analyst to join our team at Chronos Energy. As a key member of our Energy Intelligence team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by providing accurate, timely, and critical data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop data collection systems to enable effective internal and external reporting.
- Investigate and improve system losses, including thermal and electrical losses, parasitic loads, and other inefficiencies.
- Report on energy efficiency and financial performance of energy sales, including revenue and cost analysis.
- Conduct ongoing analysis and modeling of energy schemes trends and performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations for rectification.
- Support training and development of junior team members.
- Actively manage hedging and procurement, ensuring maximum efficiency and best value.
- Develop and manage energy optimization models that integrate with operational planning and financial processes.
- Monitor and manage data from various sources, including Junifer and C3ntinel, to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assess current performance of energy schemes and recommend improvement changes and upgrades.
- Perform variance to budget analysis and lead the formation of energy budgets.
- Conduct thermal and electrical balances to identify and rectify imbalances.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in energy sector analysis and modeling.
- Qualified to a minimum 2:1 degree level in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Engineering Discipline.
- Demonstrable competence in the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of district energy and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) principles.
- Knowledge of heating and cooling system design, including various generation systems (CHP, Biomass, Boilers, etc.).
