Job Summary

The Corporate Governance team at NHS England is responsible for championing good governance across the organization, ensuring it is well-run and improving. The team is hosted within the Chief Delivery Officer directorate and is responsible for critical corporate activities to support NHS England in good decision-making and its system of controls and assurance.

Main Duties

As a Compliance Lead, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the organization to implement and evidence the highest standards of corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support in the development of a compliance plan for NHS England, ensuring adherence to organizational controls.
  • Oversee compliance activities by the team in support of an NHS England compliance plan.
  • Management of the production of the Annual Report and Accounts alongside colleagues in Finance directorate.
  • Build relationships with business owners and directorate leads relevant to compliance activity.
