Physiotherapy Team Lead

As a Team Lead Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Physiotherapy mainstream service, supervising more junior members of staff and therapy assistants, and holding a large and complex caseload of children and young people with neurodisabilities.
Key Duties- Manage and coordinate caseloads and activities for a designated area, making adjustments as required.
- Assess, develop, and implement physiotherapy treatment utilising specialist theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience within Paediatric Neurological service.
- Undertake lead responsibility of the supervision, training, and appraisal of assistant practitioners, unqualified staff, peers, and colleagues of specialist and physiotherapy practitioner grades and physiotherapy students.
- Work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide day-to-day line management to a team of staff.
- Recent extensive previous experience of providing highly skilled therapeutic clinical services for Paediatric neurological, neuro-muscular, neurodegenerative, and neuro-developmental conditions and presentations.
- Experience of managing a team or members of a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Competent in core areas of Physiotherapy practice.
- Full driving Licence and use of a car.
- Understanding of the NHS Constitution and responsibilities to the public, patients, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures.
- Understanding of long-term management of Paediatric conditions.
- Understanding of how local socio-economic factors and demographics impact on health.
- Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy studies.
- Experience of working in the NHS.
- HCPC Registered.
- Membership of APCP or other SIGs.
