Job Summary: The Software Engineering Manager will lead a team of software engineers, collaborating with Senior/Lead Software Engineers and Technical Architects to implement changes across the platform. This role requires a strong leader who can champion the Software Engineering team, collaborate with Technology teams, and support the career development of team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide a team of software engineers to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Senior/Lead Software Engineers and Technical Architects to implement changes across the platform.
  • Champion the Software Engineering team, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions.
  • Support the career development of team members, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Maintain an inclusive working environment, fostering a culture of diversity and respect.
  • Escalate any people issues as needed, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience managing teams of at least 10 peers, with a strong focus on team leadership and development.
  • Knowledge of web and mobile products, with experience in designing and implementing scalable software solutions.
  • Experience with AWS and cloud platforms, with a strong understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure.
  • Experience with CI/CD, with a focus on automating testing and deployment processes.
  • Understanding of relational and non-relational data stores, with experience in designing and implementing data models.
  • Knowledge of AGILE principles, with experience in implementing agile methodologies and frameworks.
  • Experience in a DevOps environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication between development and operations teams.
