Job Summary

Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, understanding their business needs, and providing solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary contact between Western Digital and the customer, providing day-to-day direction on overall business requirements, policies, and processes.
  • Process customer transactions and data in accordance with customer account manager training, procedure manual, and directives.
  • Provide data to customers as agreed with sales managers and team managers.
  • Analyze customer weekly sell-through and inventory, along with other new business information, to assess and recommend close-in business volumes.
  • Discuss and agree customer actions with sales managers.
  • Identify sales managers' exposures to sales plans and/or previous outlooks and assist sales managers in any sales plan/prior outlook de-commitments.
  • Commit Western Digital supply based on availability knowledge provided by master schedulers.
  • Follow the allocation tracking/consumption process.
  • Update and maintain the customer backlog as an accurate reflection of customer requirements.
  • Manage RMA/Warranty and returns for customers.
  • Agree logistic requirements with customers and arrange accordingly with logistics.
  • Monitor logistic arrangements to ensure compliance.
  • Proactively discuss deviations with customers.
  • Communicate pricing and programs to customers based on WD policies.
  • Value customer credit claims and coordinate their resolution with the credit department and marketing.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of systems and data entry experience.
  • Experience in account management, account servicing, corporate customer service, sales operations, or a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Administrative experience.
  • Oracle ERP system knowledge from a data entry perspective.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in an international team.

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written skills in English.
  • Adept at working on a daily basis with numerical calculations and reporting.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with employees, vendors, contractors, and management in a business professional manner.
  • Self-motivated, customer-oriented, resourceful, and enthusiastic.
  • Ability to meet daily and weekly deadlines to achieve departmental SLAs.
  • Write moderately complex reports, business correspondence, and work procedures.
  • Speak effectively one-on-one and to small groups of internal and external parties.
  • Respond effectively and clearly to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
