Job Title: Senior Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to join our UK & I Asset Management department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering financial support services under Management Service Agreements (MSAs) across multiple clients owning renewable assets under management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the financial obligations for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial reports and statements.
  • Support the audit process across multiple portfolios of clients, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and review the team's preparation of monthly management accounts, identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise.
  • Deliver periodic cashflow forecasts and distribution calculations, with clear bridge analysis, to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with OFGEM requirements and manage bank compliance model preparation and loan covenant calculations.
  • Review VAT returns for all asset managed entities before submission and oversee the preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Prepare consolidated annual accounts, featuring complex accounting treatments, and ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Support continuous improvements to accounting and reporting processes, working closely with the wider Finance and ERP Development teams.
Requirements:
  • Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of both management and statutory accounting.
  • Excellent technical accounting skills, with the ability to scrutinize and analyze numbers to identify errors and variance analysis.
  • Ability to articulate financial information to non-finance specialists and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Quick learner, with the ability to grasp the needs of the department quickly with minimum supervision.
  • Proactive, 'can do' attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement of reporting and analysis.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and accountancy systems skills, with experience of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounting routines within a commercial organization.
  • Team management experience and qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
