About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our FRCD management team as an Assistant Service Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects identified by the Service Manager, providing line management and supervision to Senior practitioners and Team managers, and driving continuous improvement in our screening processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statutory social work, with experience in management and decision-making. They will be able to work strategically with managers in other departments and agencies to improve multi-agency safeguarding working and underlying processes.

About You
  • You must have a SW qualification and evidence of relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • You must have a proven track record of delivering improvement activity that impacts on outcomes for children using performance data and audit.
  • You must have extensive experience of management in a statutory social work context, with evidence of strong decision-making skills in respect of thresholds for interventions as a line manager.
  • You must be able to work strategically with managers in other departments and agencies to improve multi-agency safeguarding working and underlying processes.
  • You must have the ability to work on initiative to problem solve complex issues, inform, and implement system change.
  • You must have highly developed skills and experience of making decisions to safeguarding children in a fast-paced statutory environment.
