Position Overview

Role: Care Assistant at Ardseileach

Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent Role
Salary: £25,000 to £26,000 per annum, including £2,000 per annum Distant Islands Allowance

As a dedicated member of our team, you will play a vital role in assisting Adults with Support Needs to engage with local services and resources. Your efforts will help enhance their inclusion, independence, and achieve their desired outcomes. This position may involve providing overnight support when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the rights and responsibilities of individuals with support needs.
  • Demonstrate effective listening and clear communication skills.
  • Collaborate efficiently within a team environment.

To qualify for this role, you should possess an SVQ Level II in Care (or an equivalent qualification). If you do not have this qualification, you must be willing to obtain it within 36 months of your registration with the SSSC.

Additional Requirements:

  • This role necessitates the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is required for work involving adults.

The salary for this position includes the Distant Islands Allowance, and you will start at the initial point of the pay grade with opportunities for annual progression.
