Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom Community Integrated Care Full time
About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our team in Edinburgh. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, Autism, and mental and physical health issues to live as independently as possible in their own homes.

Our team provides 24-hour support, and we ask for some flexibility to work a variety of shifts. You will be supporting a young man in his own home in Lauriston, with shifts from 9am to 9am the next day, including a sleepover. We can accommodate full-time or part-time roles in this service.

In Niddrie, we can offer roles from 24 to 40 hours per week, with no driving license required. You will be working days and sleepovers, and we can only accommodate female staff at this time. Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them, and this is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act.

Your Responsibilities:

Supporting individuals with daily living activities, including medication administration, cooking, personal care, and maintaining their homes and managing their finances.

Providing support 24 hours a day, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Building fantastic relationships with the people we support and their families.

What We Offer:

A comprehensive induction and commitment to ongoing learning and development.

The opportunity to work for a multi-award-winning charity that invests all its profits right back into the people we support, our workforce, and our local communities.

A supportive team environment with experienced staff who provide guidance and support.

A range of benefits, including a free app offering retail discounts, leisure savings, and holiday and travel discounts, as well as an Employee Assistance programme available 24/7.

The chance to make a real difference in the lives of the people we support and their families.

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for someone who is reliable, honest, and able to remain calm under pressure. You should be able to build fantastic relationships with the people we support and their families, and be passionate about going the extra mile to improve their lives.

We want someone who is fun-loving and motivated, with a satisfying job where they feel supported. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you
