Job Summary

As a Body Coach Builder Apprentice at Stagecoach Group, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the field of automotive body and coach building. This apprenticeship program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the role and key responsibilities, including health and safety, tools and equipment, welding, glazing and painting, and interior repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of buses and coaches
  • Develop skills in welding, glazing and painting
  • Learn about health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Assist in the preparation and masking of vehicles for painting
  • Participate in the removal and refitting of body panels
  • Develop skills in interior repairs, including rectifying damage to seats and flooring

Requirements

To be eligible for this apprenticeship program, you will need to have:

  • A genuine interest in automotive body and coach building
  • Three GCSEs at grade C or above or grade 4 or above
  • Standard grades 1 - 3
  • National 4 or 5 in English Language, Mathematics and a Science
  • Or equivalent qualifications
