About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Body Coach Builder Apprentice. As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of coaches and buses
  • Develop skills in welding, glazing, and painting
  • Learn about health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Participate in training programs to develop technical skills
  • Work with experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience
What You Will Learn

As a Body Coach Builder Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills and knowledge, including:

  • Health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Tools and equipment usage
  • Welding, glazing, and painting techniques
  • Removing and refitting body panels
  • Repairing damage to body panels
  • Interior repairs, including rectifying damage to seats and flooring
  • Vehicle preparation and masking for painting

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A genuine interest in engineering and mechanics
  • Three GCSEs at grade C or above or grade 4 or above
  • Standard grades 1 - 3
  • National 4 or 5 in English Language, Mathematics, and a Science
