About the Role:

GSL Education - Leicester is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Redditch. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to students with diverse needs, including physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties, and autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to students with physical disabilities, including assistance with feeding, changing, and mobility.
  • Support students with severe learning difficulties and profound multiple learning difficulties in their educational and personal development.
  • Assist students with autism in their communication and social interaction.
  • Provide support for students with moderate learning difficulties, such as dyslexia and dyspraxia.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students with sight and hearing impairments.
  • Foster a nurturing environment for students with Down syndrome, promoting their overall well-being.

Requirements:

  • A compassionate and caring approach, understanding the unique needs of each student.
  • The ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students with various disabilities.
  • A willingness to follow a routine and provide stability for students.
  • Candidates who can bring a sense of fun and playfulness to engage students, particularly those with drama backgrounds comfortable with being silly.
