Job Title: Trainee Data Centre Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Data Centre Supervisor. As a key member of our Infrastructure Support Services team, you will be responsible for the delivery of Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC) work and Business As Usual (BAU) works at a client Data Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Rack and cable servers and other hardware equipment.
  • Install power distribution units within equipment racks and other equipment.
  • Interface with Corporate Real Estate on mechanical and electrical provisioning.
  • Conduct technology room inspections and identify redundant technology infrastructure.
  • Escort and supervise activities within technology rooms.
  • Perform data quality checks and validate physical assets against the client Asset management database.
  • Coordinate project management activities associated with MEPC power events.
  • Provide governance oversight of in-country and specialty facilities.
  • Carry out cable installation services and manage patching within equipment cabinets.
  • Supervise and QA for all cabling installs.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership skills and experience.
  • Flexibility with shift timings.
  • A keen interest in information technology as a career.
  • Ability to learn and implement complex change management and service delivery processes.
  • Willingness to complete overtime and travel between sites and abroad if required.
  • Current clean driving license and own transport.
  • Clear DBS check.
