About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in the South Island. As a Sales Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in autonomously managing a designated Territory Sales area, driving sales and achieving growth objectives while upholding SICK's market leadership in diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with OEMs, integrators, and end-users to cover sectors including automotive, electronics, consumer goods, and machines & motion.
  • Collaborate closely with various teams to work on dynamic projects.
  • Manage your territory remotely, with occasional visits to our Auckland office for onboarding, training, and conferences.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in Territory Sales Management, with at least 2 years of proven sales experience.
  • Preferably a qualification in mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering or relevant trade experience.
  • Ability to identify and solve customer problems effectively and build long-term relationships with customers.
  • Understanding of optical electronics/Industrial automation sensors and factory automation environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with the industry, market trends, and competitors is beneficial.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel are required.
