Role Overview

As a Fire Alarm Systems Technician, you will play a crucial role in the upkeep, servicing, and technical assistance of fire alarm systems. Your responsibilities will include the commissioning of systems and ensuring a seamless transition to the client.

You will receive comprehensive training on our product range through our selected manufacturers, recognized industry training programs, or our internal training facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and technical support for fire alarm systems.
  • Engage in hands-on integration of fire alarm systems on various projects, collaborating closely with the project delivery team.
  • Conduct system commissioning and facilitate the handover process to the client.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients regarding ongoing issues or technical support.
  • Conduct surveys and assist in the quoting and design processes for systems.
  • Carry out fire inspections and manage the maintenance and operation of necessary equipment.
  • Occasionally provide support in other areas and may require overnight stays.
Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Demonstrable experience in the maintenance of fire alarm systems is essential.
  • FIA certification or equivalent training is highly desirable.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence is mandatory.
  • Commitment to delivering a professional service with a keen eye for detail, quality, and customer satisfaction is essential.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.
  • Reliability and punctuality are critical attributes for this role.
