About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Project Officer. The successful candidate will work closely with farmers and land managers in Cornwall's nationally protected landscape to support the delivery of the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme.

This role is aligned to the aims of the Cornwall National Landscape AONB Management Plan and will involve supporting farmers and reporting on delivery. The postholder will be required to monitor capital work projects on farms, ensuring compliance with DEFRA conditions through administering grant agreements and undertaking quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the programme's objectives and will be able to evaluate the impact of the projects. They will also be able to think creatively and develop solutions to any challenges that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support farmers and land managers in the delivery of the FiPL programme
  • Monitor capital work projects on farms and ensure compliance with DEFRA conditions
  • Administer grant agreements and undertake quality assurance
  • Evaluate the impact of the projects and develop solutions to any challenges that arise
