InterQuest Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Underwriter to join their team. As a Senior Credit Underwriter, you will play a critical role in supporting the recruitment of a Senior Credit Underwriter for one of the world's largest online retailers.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Underwrite new business applications and credit limit increase requests, delivering timely decisions within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and in accordance with Credit Risk Policy.
- Review historic credit decisions based on irresponsible lending complaints from customers and provide summaries and recommendations to the complaints team.
- Clearly articulate and document the rationale for all decisions made.
- Ensure that all customers receive the same high level of service and communications are clear.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 3 years of experience in underwriting Consumer Credit.
- Good knowledge of the consumer credit industry and of the consumer credit customer life cycle.
- Awareness of regulatory requirements and of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Handbook.
- Ability to use multiple sources of information to make informed, judgemental decisions.
- Very Good oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient IT skills and competent in Microsoft Office.
