The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Head Teacher to lead our clients' school. You will play a critical role in establishing a culture of excellence, inclusion, and support. We will consider an experienced Deputy Head Teacher looking for their next step in their career or a current Head Teacher.

About the Position: This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of SEMH needs, a passion for innovative education, and a commitment to making a real difference in the lives of young people. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and Implementing the School's Vision: Lead the development and implementation of the school's vision, ethos, and policies.
  • Creating a Supportive Environment: Establish a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports the learning and wellbeing of all students.
  • Recruiting and Managing a Team: Recruit, manage, and inspire a dedicated team of teachers and support staff.
  • Developing a Tailored Curriculum: Develop a tailored curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our students, incorporating therapeutic approaches and multi-agency support.
  • Fostering Strong Relationships: Foster strong relationships with students, families, staff, and external stakeholders to create a cohesive and supportive school community.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensure compliance with all educational standards, safeguarding regulations, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Driving Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement, using data and feedback to refine practices and achieve outstanding outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience: We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Substantial Leadership Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with substantial leadership experience in a school setting.
  • Proven Experience in Working with SEMH Needs: Proven experience in working with children and young people with SEMH needs.
  • Strong Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Deep Understanding of SEMH Challenges: A deep understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Setting Up or Leading a New School: Experience in setting up or leading a new school or educational provision is highly desirable.
