Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS (Learning Disability)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS (Learning Disability), you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to children and adolescents with learning disabilities.

About the Role

As a Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS (Learning Disability), you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat children and adolescents with mental health issues and learning disabilities. You will be responsible for providing treatment plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide treatment for families, children, and adolescents with mental health issues and learning disabilities.
  • Assess and diagnose children and adolescents with mental health issues and learning disabilities.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to ensure comprehensive care for our patients.
  • Participate in medical audit and evaluation to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within 6 months.
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
  • Holds and will use valid UK driving license OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
