Planning Officer

Hunter Mason Consulting Ltd is seeking a dedicated and proactive Planning Officer to join our dynamic team in a hybrid working environment.
Role Responsibilities
As a key member of our multidisciplinary teams, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of projects that span both public and private sectors. Our modern offices are well-connected to major transport routes, facilitating collaboration and communication.
Your role will encompass all phases of planning activities, including:
- Preparation and submission of fee proposals
- Conducting initial assessments
- Managing the submission of various planning applications
- Handling planning appeals and inquiries
- Providing planning policy advice and responding to inquiries

Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will be a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) or actively pursuing chartership. You should possess:
- Proven experience in preparing and submitting planning applications
- Strong technical knowledge of UK planning regulations, methods, and standards
- Ability to manage a diverse workload and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external teams
