Job Title: Technology Risk & Controls Senior Associate

At NatWest, we're seeking a highly skilled Technology Risk & Controls Senior Associate to join our team. As a key member of our risk management function, you'll play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology risks that could impact our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on technology risk management to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain technology risk registers, ensuring that risks are accurately documented and escalated as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Technology Upper Risk Manager and wider Risk team to coach the business on technology risk regulations and policies.
  • Build insights using internal and external intelligence to inform business risk decisions.
  • Undertake regular business reviews of material risks across all operational risk standards.
  • Lead regulation and policy read across activity and action management.
  • Oversee incident engagement from a risk perspective, including documenting impact on the overall business risk and controls position.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of supporting multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Influencing and creative skills to resolve conflict and complex problems.
  • Understanding of market conditions and their impact on operational risks and practices applicable to technology.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment relating to large, complex financial service organizations.
  • Broad understanding of risk management disciplines in financial services.
  • Experience of managing key stakeholder relationships within and outside of operational risk.
  • Ability to exercise sound and decisive judgment.
  • Practical experience of operational risk management techniques.
  • Experience or good understanding of cloud-based environments and AI.
