Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As an EU Business Development Manager, your primary goal will be to expand our market presence across the European Union, especially in the UK, Spain, Germany, and Denmark.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying New Business Leads: Actively seek out new business opportunities and partnerships that align with our company's strategic goals in the EU market.
  • Collaboration Opportunities: Explore and establish collaborative research or commercial projects that enhance our product offerings and market reach.
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage various business development projects from inception to completion, ensuring they align with company objectives and timelines.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement effective marketing strategies and materials.
  • Market Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the veterinary diagnostic market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the EU, using this information to inform strategic decisions.
  • Grant Application Assistance: Assist in identifying, applying for, and managing grants relevant to our industry and business objectives.
  • Hosting Networking Workshops: Organize and host workshops and networking events to foster industry connections, share knowledge, and strengthen our market presence.
  • Communication with R&D Team: Ensuring alignment of business strategies with product development and innovation.

Required Skills:

  • Business strategies: Ability to gather relevant market information and making evidence-based business strategies (pricing, route-to-market...)
  • B2B Expertise: Proven experience in Business-to-Business sales, particularly in the biotechnology or veterinary sector.
  • Lead Generation: Ability to generate leads that translate into tangible business growth.
  • Opportunity Identification: Keen eye for recognizing and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
  • Customer Interaction: Strong interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions and relationship building.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the health biotech industry, particularly in veterinary diagnostics or vaccination.
  • Account Management: Proficient in managing client accounts and maintaining positive client relationships.

Desirable Skills:

  • Educational background in veterinary medicine, veterinary sciences, other STEM areas or MBA.
