About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated practitioner to join our team at the Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a Children's Community Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective care to individuals with autism and learning disabilities, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess and develop care plans.
  • Lead and manage the inpatient unit, ensuring that all staff are trained and equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement Positive Behavioural Support Plans, care plans, and risk management plans to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Work collaboratively with community workers, social workers, and other relevant parties to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Provide training and education to new staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Registered Practitioner with a strong background in autism and learning disabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and judgemental skills, with the ability to assess risk and develop effective care plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
