Job Title: Children's Community Autism Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Community Autism Practitioner to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with autism and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people with autism and learning disabilities, and develop and implement individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Support and Intervention: Provide direct support and intervention to children and young people with autism and learning disabilities, including behavioral support, communication strategies, and adaptive skills training.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in autism and learning disability care, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or special education.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and young people with autism and learning disabilities.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and strong assessment and care planning skills.
