Children's Community Autism Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Disability Inpatient Practitioner to join our team at the Additional Support Unit (ASU) in Exeter and the new Regional Learning Disability and Autism Unit in Dawlish.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with adults with learning disabilities and complex mental health needs, providing high-quality care and treatment in a supportive and inclusive environment.
As a Learning Disability Inpatient Practitioner, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat adults with learning disabilities, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individual care plans.
- Promote and improve the quality of service provided.
- Manage the unit in the absence of the Ward Manager/Team Leader.
- Participate in the internal rotation system, including weekend working.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong assessment and care planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of learning disability and mental health policies and procedures.
