Role Overview:


We are seeking a dedicated Legionella Compliance and Quality Manager to lead and ensure the adherence to quality standards and service excellence within our growing legionella division across the UK.

This position requires close collaboration with the Field Operations Manager and administrative personnel to facilitate seamless operations and drive departmental achievements.

The successful candidate will have a robust technical background in legionella risk management, complemented by significant practical experience as a legionella risk assessor or consultant.

You will oversee legionella operations, manage teams of risk assessors and engineers, and maintain our LCA accreditation through consistent audits.

Responsibilities:
1. Lead and support the Legionella Services teams throughout the UK.

2. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold industry standards.

3. Collaborate with the Field Operations Manager to improve daily operations and foster innovation within the department.

4. Assist the sales team with quotations and tender submissions.

5. Promote the digital evolution of Surveying Services.

Key Performance Indicators:
1. Audit a minimum of two Legionella risk assessment reports per surveyor monthly.

2. Conduct quarterly evaluations of each surveyor's performance.

3. Address microbiological positives within a 24-hour timeframe.

4. Ensure 100% completion of scheduled tasks weekly, adhering to scope and budget.

Job Specific Functions:
1. Represent the company professionally in the marketplace.

2. Stay updated on current water hygiene regulations and inform the company of relevant changes.

3. Provide technical support and guidance within the organization.

4. Manage the field-based legionella delivery team, ensuring adherence to KPIs and high performance.

5. Travel across the UK to support field personnel and operational requirements.

6. Oversee larger legionella projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.

7. Maintain high staff morale, motivation, and discipline.

8. Communicate sales opportunities identified during client/site visits.

9. Supervise the onboarding and auditing of subcontractors.

10. Deliver Legionella Services as required, focusing on L8RAs, Written Schemes, and L8 Training.

11. Conduct regular audits of post-service reports, field staff, and subcontractors.

12. Support the recruitment and training of external field staff.

13. Analyze field productivity and assist in planning enhancements.

14. Participate in strategic initiatives to meet company objectives.

15. Communicate and implement business strategies within external teams.

16. Mentor surveyors and conduct annual evaluations, reviews, and disciplinary actions.

17. Assist the sales team with tender-related quotations.

18. Develop method statements and risk assessments for all Legionella services.

19. Organize and ensure the functionality and calibration of necessary equipment.

20. Ensure all equipment is maintained in a serviceable condition in collaboration with the Warehouse Supervisor.

21. Support the Warehouse Supervisor in keeping COSHH data current.

22. Liaise with client/site personnel to resolve issues and ensure compliance.

23. Promptly communicate any progress issues or problems on-site to the office.

24. Develop digital compliance systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.

25. Prepare for industry-leading audit requirements.

26. Ensure compliance with company procedures and the Company Code of Conduct.
