Accounts Assistant

Adele Carr Recruitment is currently working with a business in the Knowsley area who are looking to recruit an accounts assistant with a purchase ledger specialism to join their already growing team.

Our client has a long-standing successful group of businesses in the Liverpool area.

This will be a varied role of general office administration, purchase, and sales ledger entry as well as accounts support.

Key Responsibilities
  • To be responsible for the setup of each project on Sage accounting software.
  • To keep a log of purchase and expense invoices received and processed against each project.
  • To process Purchase and expense invoices.
  • To allocate and check Fuel consumption.
  • To obtain Proof of Deliveries for clients requiring them.
  • To raise Sales Invoices.
  • To manage the finances of each project.
  • To perform Credit Control.
  • To provide Weekly/Monthly reports per project.

There will be administrative duties included in this role as well, such as stock control input against project and stock.

Electricity, mobiles, breakdown cover, insurances, etc. will be allocated.

Requirements and Preferences
  • Sage 50 experience would be beneficial.
  • Experience of managing all accounts ready for the Managing Director.
  • Good IT skills, including Word and Excel, and an aptitude to learn new systems.
  • Organisational skills, as there will be administrative duties in addition to the accounts role.
  • Accounting experience: 1 year (preferred).
  • Bookkeeping experience: 2 years (preferred).
  • All-round accounts experience, including purchase/sales ledger, credit control, VAT returns, reconciliations, daily banking, etc.
  • CIS is very advantageous.
  • Experience in Payments & Retentions would be hugely appreciated.
