Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work as part of the Central Lancashire Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team (RITT) and Memory Assessment Services (MAS) team, providing clinical leadership and expertise in older adult psychiatry.

Main Duties

The Consultant Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the RITT and MAS teams, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide Section 12 approved and Approved Clinician Status, as well as hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or be eligible for entry within 6 months.

About the Role

This is a substantive, full-time (10PA) post based at Charnley Fold, Bamber Bridge, Preston. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with access to excellent peer support, study leave budget, and opportunities for clinical supervision and digital leadership.

Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise
  • On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months
  • Section 12 approved or within 3 months
  • AC Status or within 6 months
