Civils Project Engineer (DPE) Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the construction industry, is seeking a highly skilled Civils Project Engineer (DPE) to join their team in York. This is a part-time contract position, working 3 days a week, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects while maintaining a cost-effective and environmentally responsible approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement systems and procedures to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage engineering activities to ensure schemes are affordable, meet programme requirements, and are safe and environmentally responsible.
  • Monitor design and specialist consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Provide project management advice on construction activities, including testing and commissioning, and site supervision.
  • Manage the design and/or construction elements of projects to meet current legislation, including CDM regulations.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have a strong background in civils engineering, with experience in project management and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
