Civil Engineer Job Description

Access Talent Group is seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join a growing SME in the Yorkshire region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in development infrastructure and be able to manage projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and client requirements.
  • Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather data for project design and planning.
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, and technical specifications for infrastructure projects.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to secure new business opportunities.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions to ensure project success.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance project delivery and quality.
Requirements:
  • Experience with detailed design for minor and major highways, drainage design, and infrastructure schemes.
  • Knowledge of Planning and Section Agreements: S278, S38, S104, S106, S185.
  • Commercial experience, with understanding of financial performance of projects, tender, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in software: Civil 3D, Micro drainage, AutoCAD, or PDS and Causeway Flow.
