About the Role

The Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Leader to join our team as a Lead Nurse for Rehabilitation and Recovery. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to take on a key leadership role in our Secure Services and Recovery Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing leadership and guidance to ward/unit and team managers across the Rehabilitation and Recovery Directorate.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based nursing care standards, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care to patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred approaches to care, embedding quality strategies and improving patient outcomes.
  • Support the development of staff and services, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Head of Nursing and other senior leaders to drive forward the Professional Nursing agenda for the MH&LD service group.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Level 1 (Active NMC Registration)
  • Recognised management qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Educated to Degree level
  • Masters in relevant health-related field
  • Improving Quality Together (IQT Bronze) certification
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Improving Quality Together (IQT Silver) certification
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults/Children, including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act
  • Experience of staff and service management, budgetary management, and managing change
  • Ability to speak Welsh
