Job Title: Children's Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Children's Support Worker to join our team at Brook Street Social Care. As a key member of our residential children's services team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people in our care.

About the Role:

As a Children's Support Worker, you will work closely with our team to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people to thrive. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized care and support to children and young people, taking into account their unique needs and requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with our team to develop and implement personalized care plans that promote the well-being and development of our residents.
  • Encouraging and supporting children and young people to participate in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and educational development.
  • Managing challenging behaviors and providing de-escalation techniques to ensure a safe and calm environment.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports, including incident reports and progress updates.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 6 months of relevant experience working with children and young people in a care setting.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and colleagues.
  • A patient, nurturing, and kind approach, with a passion for working with children and young people.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with children with complex needs, including EBD, ADHD, and attachment issues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
