About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to a young boy, Jacob, who requires 24-hour care and therapeutic support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Jacob to have the best quality of life possible, including activities such as baking, fun days out, and holidays.
  • Ensure Jacob's safety and well-being at all times, monitoring his development and updating his plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including family members, healthcare professionals, and other support staff.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for Jacob.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.

Requirements:

  • Patience, compassion, and resilience to work with children who may have experienced trauma.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with Jacob and other stakeholders.
  • A driving license to transport Jacob to appointments and activities.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleep-ins, to ensure 24-hour care is provided.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills in residential childcare, with the opportunity to gain a qualification in this area.
