Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individually tailored support packages to service users, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies, such as social services, the police, and DWP, to ensure seamless support for service users.
  • Identify and assess risks and needs of service users, providing immediate crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Make detailed and accurate reports, ensuring the CRM is always up-to-date.
  • Signpost and support women and their families to various agencies, promoting their access to essential services.
  • Promote the service and its values, ensuring a positive reputation in the community.
  • Undertake training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in domestic violence support.
Requirements
  • Hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate, or a relevant degree, or demonstrable equivalent experience or a vocational qualification.
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential.
  • Have a thorough understanding of domestic violence and abuse, including its impact on victims and their children.
  • Understand child protection issues and how to effectively safeguard.
  • Experience in engaging with external agencies and providing practical and emotional support.
  • Strong crisis management skills and excellent IT and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage own workload and work collaboratively as part of a team.
