Job Summary
Vetro Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to young people in various supported accommodation services throughout Bridgend and the surrounding areas.
About the Role
- Job Title: Support Worker - Young People's Services
- Hours: Full-time and part-time hours available
- Shift Pattern: 8am - 8pm / 8pm - 8am
- Salary: £12.82-£25.64 (including holiday pay)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support and care to young people with complex needs, including those who have experienced trauma, PTSD, or other difficulties
- Build strong, supportive relationships with young people to help them achieve their outcomes and manage their tenancies independently
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support and care
- Develop and deliver group work facilitation to support young people's personal growth and development
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience of working with young people in an accommodation setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and build supportive relationships
- Strong understanding and practical knowledge of issues that disrupt progress towards independence, such as mental health, substance use, self-harm, domestic violence, and anger management
- Demonstrable skills in developing and delivering group work facilitation
