Job Title: Domestic Transport Manager

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our team at Pilgrim Foodservice Ltd. in Boston. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transportation of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of transport staff to ensure efficient and safe delivery of goods.
  • Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve customer satisfaction and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the field and telesales teams to understand customer needs and align transportation operations.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and maintain high standards of audit compliance.
  • Lead by example and promote a safety-first culture within the transport team.
  • Delegate authority and responsibility to the team with supervision, accountability, and review.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems and route optimization software.
  • Demonstrable experience within a transport environment or similar role.
  • First-class relationship building skills and good planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to identify errors and raise high standards to achieve continuous improvement.
