Our team has extensive experience representing both claimants and defendants in complex civil and commercial litigation matters, including:

Our attorneys provide expert advice and representation in dispute resolution and litigated cases, frequently appearing in the High Court and the Court of Appeal. The Litigation team is adept at taking swift action to safeguard our clients' interests and deliver the highest quality representation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report directly to the Department Director
  • Maintain a professional and proactive approach, demonstrating strong client care skills and a compassionate understanding of clients' needs
  • Oversee all aspects of Litigation work, providing technical expertise and guidance to team members as necessary
  • Manage a diverse caseload with varying complexities
  • Assist with casework, including a range of Probate Litigation cases such as ADR/mediation, financial disputes, and debt recovery
  • Engage with clients, gather instructions, and prepare cases
  • Handle correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures
  • Implement recommendations from monthly file reviews promptly
  • Ensure compliance with file management protocols.
Essential Skills:
  • Experience in Property Litigation within a private practice setting
  • Valid Practising Certificate required at the time of application
  • Strong team player with the ability to adapt to new challenges
  • Professional demeanor with excellent client care skills and the ability to navigate complex client matters
  • Strong networking and communication skills, capable of marketing the firm and generating new business
  • Excellent analytical and organizational abilities
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment
  • Familiarity with publicly funded Litigation work and capability to manage privately funded cases
  • Extensive experience in Probate Litigation
  • Advocacy experience is a plus
  • Proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office applications and document management.
