Job Summary:

The SEN Teaching Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting class teachers in the preparation of resources and lesson plans
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN, under the supervision of the class teacher
  • Working closely with the class teacher to report on student progress and develop personalized learning plans
  • Enabling students to learn by understanding their learning goals and targets, practicing new skills, and challenging them to be as independent as possible
  • Providing support for all aspects of student wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning
  • Understanding and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths
  • Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting would be ideal, but not necessary
  • Initiative to take proactive actions, organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently, and prioritisation skills to handle multiple responsibilities
