Job Title: SEN HLTA

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN HLTA to join our team of support staff in Secondary Schools in Milton Keynes.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced SEN HLTA to provide support to pupils with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism. As a SEN HLTA, you will be responsible for empowering and supporting pupils to achieve their educational and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing support to pupils in various learning contexts, including the classroom, local environment, and community.
  • Empowering and supporting pupils with a range of needs to achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Promoting equality, diversity, and the rights of our pupils to be treated with respect and seen as learners.
  • Providing high-quality support in all aspects of the role.
  • Participating in physical intervention and personal care routines, if required.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a school is advantageous.
  • Previous experience with SEN is essential.
  • Friendly, confident, and calm attitude.
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults.
  • Adaptable to working with children with vulnerable backgrounds.
  • An individual with good knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
  • Be passionate about helping students to succeed academically, emotionally, and socially.
  • Have a calming presence and be able to engage well with the pupils (Year 7 to Year 11).
  • You will be dedicated to ensuring that all children achieve their very best.
  • Contribute to the values, ethos, and development of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
