Position Title: Client Financial Affairs Officer

Location: Hackney

Hourly Rate: £24/hr

Weekly Hours: 36 hours

Overview:

Hatched Recruitment Group is collaborating with local authorities to identify a qualified Client Financial Affairs Officer. This role is pivotal in delivering a comprehensive financial management service for vulnerable individuals who require assistance with their financial affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Client Affairs Team in the delivery of a thorough financial affairs service for Community Services, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and organizational policies.
  • Manage a caseload of clients requiring financial oversight due to incapacity, ensuring their financial matters are handled with care and professionalism.

Specific Duties:
  • Oversee a portfolio of less complex appointeeship and deputyship cases as assigned by the Client Financial Affairs Manager.
  • Handle the daily financial operations for clients enrolled in direct payment arrangements, ensuring adherence to financial protocols, timely payroll processing, and accurate account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit applications to the Court of Protection as required, in line with established regulations and guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in managing competing priorities and delivering results under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of the legislative framework surrounding appointeeship and deputyship.
  • Familiarity with Direct Payment schemes and financial management practices for vulnerable adults.
  • Relevant qualifications in Business and Finance or equivalent experience in financial administration.
  • Experience in a local government financial setting and handling client finances.
