Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior People Business Partner, your role will be pivotal in aligning the business strategy with the people strategy. You will:

  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to address employee and business needs while managing associated risks.
  • Lead initiatives in workforce planning, organizational design, and people forecasting within your designated areas.
  • Act as a liaison between the people team and executive leadership, ensuring effective communication and information flow.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on HR-related laws, policies, and best practices within your region.

Additional Duties Include:

  • Partnering with executives to implement KCS's people strategies, focusing on change management, employee engagement, and succession planning.
  • Consulting with leadership teams to align ongoing strategies and objectives with people practices.
  • Providing regular insights on workforce planning, particularly for growth initiatives.
  • Offering HR support and coaching to executives and their teams on people-related matters.
  • Advising leadership on enhancing employee retention and engagement.
  • Supporting the rollout of key initiatives such as job architecture and performance management frameworks.
  • Interpreting people data to inform executive decisions and drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition and Development teams to facilitate business growth.
  • Delivering strategic HR advice with a focus on revenue implications.
  • Ensuring compliance and fairness in all employee interactions.
  • Promoting a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture that reflects our core values.
  • Acting as an escalation point for complex HR issues and challenges.
  • Providing support in employee relations and policy matters as needed.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Recognized HR qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and engagement abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in HR or related roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Robust business acumen and relationship management skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation.
  • A proven track record of partnering with management to deliver effective HR solutions.
