Job Title: Midwife Specialist in Fetal Well-being

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate midwife to join our team as a Fetal Well-being Midwife. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work alongside our current fetal wellbeing midwife to facilitate and continuously improve the current teaching programme designed to refresh and enhance the knowledge and competence of midwives and obstetricians in identifying fetal wellbeing and potential and actual fetal compromise in all clinical settings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver teaching programmes to enhance the knowledge and competence of midwives and obstetricians in identifying fetal wellbeing and potential and actual fetal compromise.
  • Work in collaboration with the Delivery Suite Coordinators, Obstetricians, Maternity Matrons, Consultant Midwife for Normality, Practice Development Midwife, Birth Centre Lead/Midwives, Homebirth Team and Community Midwifery Lead/Midwives.
  • Act as a role model demonstrating clinical leadership and midwifery expertise.
  • Support the Multi-professional team to ensure they can accurately and confidently interpret fetal monitoring.

Requirements:

  • NMC Registered Midwife.
  • Evidence of Post registration education.
  • Leadership and Management training.
  • Train the trainer course.
