Job Title: Recovery Day Surgery Practitioner - Perioperative Care Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate perioperative nurse to join our team at Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Recovery Day Surgery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing clinically effective, high-quality, individualized peri-operative patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient care throughout the peri-operative pathway, including patient escort, anaesthetic care, scrubbing for surgical procedures, post-anaesthetic recovery, ward, and nurse-led discharge.
  • Promote a safe and attractive working environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Contribute to the continuing development of peri-operative and professional practice, ensuring practice is evidence-based.
  • Support the integration of clinical governance in all aspects of patient care delivery.
  • Demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to achieve the learning outcomes of departmental programmes, trust, and unit competencies.
