We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Maintenance Engineer to support the efficient functioning of our premises. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for managing maintenance schedules, conducting repairs, and coordinating with external contractors to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for employees, clients, and visitors.
Main Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Take an active role in maintaining the facilities, including undertaking repairs yourself and overseeing contractors when necessary.
- Facilities Management: Work alongside the Facilities and Maintenance Managers to ensure best practices in building management, operations, and health and safety.
- Strategic Planning: Provide input on priorities for ongoing refurbishment and maintenance across the estate.
- Issue Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for routine and emergency maintenance issues, resolving them efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Supplier Management: Develop strong relationships with suppliers and contractors, ensuring high standards of service.
- Building Operations: Ensure the building upholds cleanliness and aligns with the company's brand values.
- Sustainability: Identify opportunities for cost savings and reducing environmental impact.
- Contract Management: Oversee contracts for services like security, cleaning, and health and safety, ensuring a coordinated building management strategy.
- Health and Safety: Maintain accurate health and safety records and ensure compliance with current regulations.
- Policy Development: Assist in the development of facilities management policies and procedures.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Oversee maintenance schedules for systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.
- Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with contractors and ensure proper supervision during maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
- Building Inspections: Conduct regular building inspections to identify and address safety hazards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate reporting and record management for statutory compliance.
- Water Hygiene: Oversee water hygiene and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Ad Hoc Requests: Carry out reasonable requests from management within the general scope and purpose of the position, including portering duties as required.
