As a Lead Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and learning support staff to provide individualized support to students in the classroom and support centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Deliver Education, Health and Care Plan annual reviews and ensure that paperwork is returned in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the provision of support and guidance for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Produce and maintain individual learning plans for students and work closely with teachers to promote student learning.
  • Support the ALS management function in the absence of the ALS manager and provide individualized learning support in the classroom and support centre.
  • Work closely with teachers and ALS Manager to ensure that the support provided is appropriate and effective.
  • Assist in the implementation of systems, processes, and procedures relating to learning support.
  • Review and monitor quality processes to ensure service level agreements are met, quality standards are maintained, and customer satisfaction is excellent.
  • Support College events to promote the Wellbeing service.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to GCSE level 4 or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Good standard of general education.
