Job Title: Service Lead

Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Lead to join our team.

About the Role

The Service Lead will be responsible for managing a team of staff, monitoring sickness absence, and performing individual reviews. They will also be responsible for the efficient provision of both in and outpatient services within their area of responsibility.

Main Duties
  • Review service provision and implement service redesign when appropriate.
  • Manage the day-to-day service, maintaining quality control, and advise Physiologists within the Trust on best practice and new technologies.
  • Develop, deliver, and initiate training programmes for junior cardiac physiologists and medical staff.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Clinical Physiology and BSE Accreditation required for Echo Service Lead. They will also be competent in organising the workload of themselves and staff.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of clinical practice.
  • Awareness of Health Policies, targets, and the changing NHS environment.
Personal Attributes
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work as part of a team, both supporting and advising them.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
