Deputy Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy Manager to join our nursing home team. As the Deputy Manager, you will work alongside the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our residents and the effective management of the home.
About the Nursing HomeOur nursing home in Harrogate provides a warm and welcoming environment for our residents. We support residents with complex care requirements and offer a range of facilities to ensure their comfort and well-being.
Deputy Manager Responsibilities- Support the Home Manager in the daily management and running of the care home.
- Manage, deliver, and lead high-quality care as part of the nursing/care team using a person-centered approach.
- Ensure the individual needs of service users are met, providing opportunities for individuals to use their skills and enhance their quality of life, while maintaining their independence and privacy.
- Lead a team of nurses in all aspects of nursing care, including medication management, care planning, and wound care.
- Assist in quality control audits and improvement plans.
- Contribute to nurse and care staff training and development programs.
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse.
- Experience of supporting the elderly.
- Registered Nurse with an active NMC pin.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a nursing home environment.
- Right to work within the UK.
- Experience in a leadership or management role.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in care planning and assessment.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Good IT skills, including experience with electronic care planning systems.
