Position Overview

Screwfix is experiencing remarkable growth, and we are excited to expand our team. As a Product Imagery Specialist within our Product & Data Team, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our product visuals and instructional materials are of exceptional quality, precise, and compliant with the standards established by Screwfix.

We advocate for a hybrid working model that balances in-office collaboration with flexible remote work. You will be expected to work from our head office three days a week, with the flexibility to manage your schedule around our core hours of 10am-3pm. Our office environment is designed for comfort and productivity, featuring a subsidized canteen and free parking, making it an ideal place to work. We understand the importance of flexibility in managing personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various departments to collect images and other necessary assets while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Ensure that all assets comply with internal guidelines, are accurately formatted and named, and are uploaded promptly.
  • Oversee the product imagery for assigned categories and maintain visuals throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage the Screwfix image systems and conduct regular maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in the development of internal processes and systems, including testing as needed.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage your workload to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Review printed materials to verify that all imagery is accurate and consistent.
  • Provide briefs to external photography agencies for new cut-out photography as required.
  • Address image-related inquiries from other departments within the organization.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to our image processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as directed by the Product Imagery Manager to improve image collection and management methods.
  • Support team members in resolving escalated issues and challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure team objectives are met, sharing knowledge and assisting one another.
  • Encourage innovative thinking by challenging conventional approaches to problem-solving.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple internal and external relationships effectively.
  • Experience in handling a dynamic and multi-tasking workload is crucial.
  • Background in an image production setting is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and a solid understanding of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • A collaborative team player with self-motivation and a consistently positive attitude.
